Epson Printer Mapping (Mac)

  1. Open System Preferences.

 

Select Printers & Scanners.

 

 

Under the Printers list, click the plus symbol.

 

          

         2. Select the IP tab at the top and fill out the information as follows:

Address: Fill in the printer’s IP address

 

To find the Epson’s IP, you will have to print a status page from the Epson.

 

 

On the Epson printer’s control panel, use the right arrow button to access the Printer Menu. Use the arrow buttons to scroll to Test Print, then use the right arrow button to access this menu. Scroll to Status Sheet and access this menu. Scroll to Print and hit OK to print out a status sheet with the IP address.

 

Protocol: Choose “Line Printer Daemon – LPD” from the dropdown.

Queue: Leave blank.

Name: Epson Stylus Pro 4900 or Epson SureColor P5000

Location: Leave blank.

Use: Click the drop down and click “Select Software…” Use the filter box to filter for the printer driver by typing in “4900” or “P5000”. Then, select the appropriate driver.

 

If the driver does not appear in the filter box, you may have to download and install the driver here first:

Epson Stylus Pro 4900  -OR-  Epson SureColor P5000

       3. Click Add. Make sure the printer was mapped correctly by printing a test page with color from an application such as Microsoft Word.
