If you don’t see any of these pop-ups on a DePaul-owned computer, you don’t need to upgrade Office.

Office upgrade for computers running older versions

Starting in mid-February 2024, due to Microsoft ending technical support for older Office versions, DePaul-owned computers running older versions of Office will upgrade to the newest version of Office, Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Enterprise. Check which version of Office you are running. If you’re not running Microsoft 365 and see one of the pop-up windows displayed above, we recommend that you upgrade ahead of the deadline.

If you have any questions or concerns about this upgrade, please contact the Help Desk.

If you use a computer with an older version of Microsoft Office and you are concerned that this Office upgrade will be a problem, please reach out to the Help Desk via web: helpdesk.depaul.edu, email: helpdesk@depaul.edu, or phone: (312) 362-8765.

Please note: As a precaution, it’s always recommended to back up your data and files before performing any significant updates or changes to your computer.
