Instructors can use Turnitin outside of D2L Submission folders by requesting and using a standalone Turnitin account. To request a standalone Turnitin account, please fill out the External Turnitin Account Request Form.

Once your standalone Turnitin account is created, you will want to do the following:

1. Go to turnitin.com and go to the login screen.
2. Enter your DePaul email address and select Forget Password.
3. Once you reset your password, you will use this guide to enable Quick Submit in your profile. 

Once you have Quick Submit enabled, you can use the Quick Submit tab on your homepage to submit student work for plagiarism detection. 

Note: AI Detection isn't enabled for external accounts. The only way to receive a Turnitin AI report is to use Turnitin through a submission folder in D2L.
