Instructors can use Turnitin outside of D2L Submission folders by requesting and using a standalone Turnitin account. In order to request a standalone Turnitin account, please fill out the External Turnitin Account Request Form.

Once your standalone Turnitin account is created, you will want to do the following:

1. Go to turnitin.com and go to the login screen.
2. Enter your DePaul email address and select Forget Password.
3. Once you reset your password, you can use this guide to create a standalone folder that lets you upload documents to TurnItIn for Originality Checking outside of D2L.
