CDM AV User Guide - Traditional Classrooms

For in-person instruction, Traditional Classrooms offer access to a desktop computer, projector, and in some spaces, a laptop connection via HDMI. Some rooms also include wall and/or ceiling mounted speakers.

Powering On the System

In the Traditional Classrooms, the remote control on the instructor desk will power on the projector.

1. Press the "Power" button on the remote control on the instructor desk to power on the projector.

Projector Controls

Sources are selected using the remote control on the instructor desk.

1. Press the "Computer" input on the remote to display the instructor computer on the projection screen.

A lightbulbTroubleshooting Tip: If there is no image on the screen, try using the auto search function on the remote (if equipped) control to automatically find an input on the projector that has an active connection.

Volume Controls

In rooms equipped with ceiling and/or wall speakers, you can adjust playback volume of content from the instructor computer using the volume controls built into the operating system. There may be dedicated volume controls on the instructor keyboard depending on the computer configuration in the classroom.

In rooms equipped with desktop speakers at the instructor location, you can adjust playback volume of content from the instructor computer using the volume control on the speaker system.

Powering Off the System

The only system in the room that needs to be powered off at the end of a class session is the projector. The projector can be powered off by pressing the power button on the remote control. The projector may prompt you with on-screen information asking if you would like to power down. Press the power button again to confirm power down and turn off the projector.
