Google Workspace: Access and Features


Accessing Google Workspace

Faculty and staff that would like to access Google Workspace must first complete the Google Access Request Form. After the form has been submitted, you will be able to access Google Workspace with your BlueM@il email address. 

Please note: The primary purpose of accessing and using Google Workspace is to share with other universities that use Google applications. Information Services strongly recommends using OneDrive to share content. 

What is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace for Education is a collection of cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools developed by Google.

Workspace is enabled primarily for the purpose of allowing other entities to share content with DePaul faculty and staff. Again, Information Services recommends utilizing Microsoft 365 for content sharing and collaboration. 


Getting Started:

In order to access your account, log in to Google using your DePaul email address. 

Note: If you are using a long email address, you must enter the full email address.

Google Login Portal

You will then be redirected to the DePaul login page, where you should enter your email address and password.  Once you are logged in, you can click on the AppLauncher to see a list of the tools that you have access to.

Features

Google Workspace for Education is a collection of cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools developed by Google. All DePaul faculty and staff have access to a G-Suite account. Please note that students do not have access to Workspace via their DePaul credentials.
