Mobile Blue Demon Card: Lost, Stolen, or New Phone - Moving your Mobile Credential


Getting a new iPhone?

If you have your mobile card on an iPhone and want to move it to a new iPhone, you will need to remove the credential from the old one first before adding it to a new iPhone.

Options for removing the mobile Blue Demon Card from your old iPhone:

  1. Access the credential in the device’s wallet and remove it. Go to your Apple Wallet. Select the mobile Blue Demon Card. Click the Information (i) button on the top right corner. Scroll to the bottom and click Remove Card.
  2. Log on to your iCloud account. Select Manage Devices. Select your Apple device. Under the Wallet & Apple Pay section, click Remove Items. Warning: this will remove all cards and items from your Wallet & Apple Pay.

After removing the mobile card from the old phone, you can add the credential to your new iPhone by following these instructions.

Getting a new Android phone?

DePaul students, faculty, and staff who have their mobile Blue Demon Card on an Android phone are allowed to have the mobile card on only one Android phone. If you have your mobile card on an Android phone, you will need to remove the credential from the old smartphone before adding it to a new Android phone.

After removing the mobile ID from the old phone, you can add the credential to your new Android phone by following these instructions.

Was your iPhone lost or stolen?

There are several methods a customer can use to deactivate or remove a credential from your phone or watch:

  1. If you lost your iPhone, you can always visit idcard.depaul.edu, click the Card Services button, and deactivate your Blue mobile Demon Card.
  2. Change or remove cards in Apple Wallet. Log on to their iCloud. Select Manage Devices. Select your Apple device. Under the Wallet & Apple Pay section, click Remove Items. Warning: this will remove all cards and items from your Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Use the Find My iPhone option. Access Find My iPhone on another device or browser. Mark the iPhone as lost. If necessary, erase and reset iPhone. Warning: this will erase all information on the phone and return the device to its factory settings.

Was your Android phone lost or stolen?

Customers can remove credentials from their Android devices using one of the following methods:

  1. If you lost your Android device, you can always visit idcard.depaul.edu, click the Card Services button, and deactivate your mobile Blue Demon Card.
  2. Locking or erasing your Android phone: View these instructions to find, lock, or erase your Android phone from a web browser. Warning: choosing the erase option deletes all information on the phone and returns the device to its factory settings.

If the previous options don't work or aren't possible, please contact Blue Demon Card offices or the Help Desk: Is your phone lost or stolen? DePaul students, faculty, and staff can call or visit the Blue Demon Card office in the Student Center in Lincoln Park or the Loop Tech Center in the Lewis Building in the Loop, and they can deactivate your Blue Demon Card.
