Netskope ZTNA: Installing and Setting Up on a Personal Windows or Mac

The Netskope ZTNA application generally is used on DePaul-owned Windows and Mac computers. However, there are some limited use cases where you may need to install the application on a personal computer. Please note that Netskope only secures access to certain DePaul connections; if you are on an open WiFi network and connecting to non-DePaul sites, services, or systems, Netskope is does not secure that connection or your credentials.

Using Netskope ZTNA requires the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app and BlueKey multi-factor authentication (MFA). You will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app and setup BlueKey MFA at bluekey.depaul.edu/multifactorsetup (if you haven't already done so) prior to accessing the Netskope ZTNA service. Learn more about registering for BlueKey MFA.

If you have any issues, please contact the Help Desk or Genius Squad.

Non-DePaul Windows-based Computers:

  1. Download the Netskope client file from the DePaul ZTNA Sharepoint site.
  2. After downloading, click on the downloaded install file to begin the installation process.
  3. Accept any User Access Control (UAC) prompt. Note that you may be warned about downloading an exe file and asked to trust or accept the file.
  4. Wait for the installer to finish; you will not need to do anything during the installation.
  5. A completion dialogue box will show. Click 'x' to close.
