If you received the error “Hold for Authentication” when attempting to print to CDM printers, it’s likely you have the incorrect or an old password saved in your keychain and need to delete or update it.
Using the magnifying glass in the top right or the keyboard shortcut CDM + Space. You can open Spotlight Search to search for “Keychain Access.”
In Keychain Access, use the search bar to find the name of the printer you are trying to print to.
Right click (or CTRL + click) on the printer and delete it from the keychain. Alternatively, you can double click on the printer's name and you can edit the password by clicking on "show password."
Repeat the aformentioned steps for all CDM printers you have mapped.
After deleting/updating the printer passwords in the Keychain, attempt to print again. Their should be a password prompt. Be sure to retype your username along with your password. If you would like to, you can check "Remember this password in my keychain" so that you no longer get the password prompt when printing.
