Eduroam WiFi Setup for Android

On-boarding instructions pre-Android 11:

Step 1

Connect to the "depaul" WiFi network when on campus and once the "DePaul WiFi Setup" pages opens select "Mobile Devices", follow the steps on screen and navigate to wifisetup.depaul.edu

Step 2

Click download from the Step 1 instructions on your screen.

Step 3

Once redirected to the Google Play Store, install the SecureW2 app and click "open" to launch it.

Step 4

The application will download the correct configuration for the DePaul Eduroam WiFi network.

Step 5

Click "Next" to continue the setup process.

Step 6

Sign in with your BlueKey login credentials (username@depaul.edu email address and password).

 

Step 7

BlueKey Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will appear. Please continue with the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 8

Your device will now finish up the setup and install the DePaul Eduroam personal certificate. 

Step 9

You should now be connected to Depaul's Eduroam WiFi network.

 

On-boarding instructions for Android 11:

Step 1

From your Android device, use a browser to navigate to wifisetup.depaul.edu either while connected to the "depaul" Wi-Fi network or while connected to the cellular network.  Under the "Step 1" section press "Download".

Note: Even if you are using the cellular network to connect, make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on.

 

Step 2

Once redirected to the Google Play Store, install the SecureW2 app, wait for it to install and click "open" to launch it.

Step 3

When prompted for location permission, select "Yes, App will configure and connect"

 

Step 4

When prompted, allow the JoinNow MultiOS app to access location "While using the app".

Step 5

Click "Next" to proceed to sign in.

Step 6

Sign in with your DePaul BlueKey credentials and click "Sign In".

 

Step 7

BlueKey Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will appear. Please continue with the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 8

Your device will begin enrolling.

Step 9

You will be prompted with a screen indicating that you need to allow the SecureW2 app to suggest Wi-Fi networks.  Click "Next".

Step 10

You will be prompted to allow the JoinNow MultiOS application to suggest a Wi-Fi network which will allow eduroam to be configured and automatically connected.  Choose the "Allow" option when prompted.

Step 11

If you completed the previous steps successfully and you clicked "Allow" at the last screen, click "Next" on the screen titled "Allow App to Enable Wi-Fi". This page has instructions on how to allow SecureW2 permission to connect your phone to eduroam if you accidentally selected "No thanks" on the previous screen.  If you have followed the previous steps successfully so far, simply click "Next" to skip this page and connect to eduroam.

Step 12:

You should now be connected to Depaul's Eduroam WiFi network. You can verify that you are connected to eduroam in your Wi-Fi Settings.
