Starting in Fall 2025, DePaul is switching to an opt-in U-Pass system, ensuring that only students who need a transit pass are charged. This simplifies the process, eliminates unnecessary fees, and expands access to part-time students enrolled in at least four credit hours. This update makes the U-Pass system more student-friendly and efficient, so stay tuned for updates and be sure to opt in if you plan to use public transit! STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE OPT-IN FORM FOR FALL 2025 STARTING JUNE 1ST. Students that are not enrolled in a minimum of four credit hours by the last date to Drop Classes will have their cards deactivated and the U-Pass fee will be credited to their student account.

DePaul students who meet the requirements will see a U-Pass Fee on their tuition account. Students are responsible for this fee regardless of benefit use or card pick-up.
