To be eligible for the CTA U-Pass during the Autumn, Winter, Spring, or Summer terms, you must meet all three of the primary requirements.
Eligible students will automatically be enrolled in the U-Pass each term. To be eligible for the U-Pass must meet the three criteria that are listed below. Students that are enrolled exclusively online are not eligible for the U-Pass. Students can pick up their U-Pass at the ID Services Office where their major is located or they can request their U-Passes to be mailed to their mailing address in Campus Connect by completing the U-Pass Mailing Form. U-PASS MAILING WILL BE UNAVAILABLE FROM AUGUST 15th UNTIL OCTOBER 1st.
Eligible students who do not need the U-Pass for the summer term can opt out of the U-Pass by completing the U-Pass OPT Out. Eligible students must complete the form by September 19, 2024, no requests will be approved after that date. Students who do not complete the opt-out form prior to the deadline will be charged the U-Pass fee regardless of use. Credits for the U-Pass fee will be issued by September 30, 2024.

DePaul students who meet the requirements will see a U-Pass Fee on their tuition account. Students are responsible for this fee regardless of benefit use or card pick-up. A U-Pass fee can be removed ONLY when a student's eligibility has changed on or before the last day to drop courses. Fee administration and removal is an automated process based on registration. The Ventra U-Pass is based on a CTA daily rate plus DePaul's administrative fee. Click Here for more details on the U-Pass Fee.
