OneDrive provides versioning of files and a "recycle bin" for deleted files. The OneDrive web interface offers a recycle bin that keeps deleted files for 90 days before removing them permanently. If a file has been modified, it's also possible to access the previous version of the file by viewing its version history.
How many files can I sync from my computer to OneDrive?
There is no limit on the number of files that you can sync to the current OneDrive client, but the maximum size of any one file is 15 GB.
When using the OneDrive Desktop Sync Application, please be aware of the storage space available on your computer and use Selective Sync and Files on Demand feature to manage local file storage.
What happens to my shared OneDrive files when I leave DePaul?
At the time of this writing, your OneDrive files, including your shared OneDrive documents, will be deleted 123 days from the date your employment with the University ends. Once your employment with DePaul ends, you will no longer have access to your files. Any shared documents in your OneDrive will be available to those you have shared with for 30 days. After that point, documents are recoverable by an administrator for an additional 93 days. These time periods are subject to be changed at any time by Microsoft. Prior to your departure from the University, you should coordinate with your manager and transfer all business-critical documents stored in your OneDrive to another departmental file storage service. You should also download any personal data you wish to keep.
What can I store in OneDrive/SharePoint?
You may store personal data or DePaul data. Regarding DePaul data that DePaul employees may store on OneDrive, DePaul's Access to and Responsible Use of Data Policy governs where and how DePaul data should be managed. Can I edit documents simultaneously with other people?
What is the difference between OneDrive Sync and OneDrive Files on Demand?
If you have Windows 10 or Office 2016, this utility may already be installed on your machine and can easily be connected to your Office 365 account. It allows you to sync files between your computer and the cloud. By default, it will maintain a synced copy of all of your files in both locations. You can work directly with your files in File Explorer and access your files even when you are offline. OneDrive Files On-Demand
Files On-Demand is a setting within OneDrive Sync that is disabled by default. When this setting is enabled, you can choose which files will use storage space on your local machine. You can still work with your files from File Explorer but will not be able to access any files designated as “online-only” without Internet access. Can I only share files with people associated with DePaul?
No, you can share files with anyone inside or outside of DePaul University.
How do "Restricted Links" work?
A restricted link is only valid for individuals who have been granted permissions to a resource.
For example, if the resource is shared with A, B, and C, and you send this link to D, D will not be able to access this resource.
This can be very helpful for when you are trying to avoid having an individual wait for an invitation to the resource, you can simply give them access, and send them the link to the resource in a personal email. It also is useful for sharing sensitive information, even if someone obtains a link to the resource, they will not be able to access it
Why did I get an email about my Team expiring?
Teams need to be renewed every year or else they will be deleted. 30 days after deletion, they will be unrecoverable. Owners will receive email notification when they need to renew their group.
Why did I get an error trying to log in to Teams using Safari?
Safari has some additional blocking in place that is not used by other web browsers. Information Services recommends using the downloadable Teams application for Teams use. If you still would like to use Teams in a browser Information Services recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Can I see how many of my 5 installs of Office I have used?
Yes. First, log into Office 365. Then, click on your initals in the very upper right corner of the screen. Click My Account, then click Install Status. You will see how many licenses are in use for your account and on which devices the licenses are installed.
I removed an Office install off of a machine, do I need to do anything else?
Yes, log into Office 365. Then, click on your initials in the very upper right corner of the screen. Click My Account, then click Install Status. Each device you have Office Apps installed on is listed. To free up a license from one of these devices, click Deactivate.
I deleted a file from my Teams channel, how can I recover it?
In the Teams channel that you deleted the file from do the following:
Click on Open in SharePoint, this will launch a web browser and have you log into the Teams SharePoint page
Click on Recycle Bin on the left
Find the file that was deleted and select it
Click on Restore at the top
The file will be available in the recycle bin for 93 days.

What accessibility features are available when accessing my email in a web browser?
Accessing your DePaul email through the web allows you get your email whenever you are online. Keyboard shortcuts and navigation for the online experience are different from Outlook 2016 desktop. If you use a screen reader, this article can help, as well as these most commonly used Keyboard Shortcuts for Outlook for the Web. Alternatively, you can decide to use the Light version of Outlook for the Web. It has an HTML interface that some people prefer to use with a screen reader. When accessing your email in a web browser, you can also use your web browser's features that improve the readability of pages. Most browsers offer features like zoom, customizable font sizes and colors, a high contrast mode, and compatibility with screen readers.
