How do I know which login credentials (BlueKey or DePaul username) to use?

As DePaul converts to BlueKey login credentials (username@depaul.edu and password), this will increasingly be the login method that you use to access more systems and applications at DePaul. Some systems will request the added security layer of BlueKey multi-factor authentication.

Eventually, BlueKey will be used to log in to nearly all DePaul services, but the transition will take some time. Since our transition to BlueKey login is still in progress, some systems may still request just your username and password.

What are my login credentials at DePaul?

As a DePaul student, faculty, or staff member, you have been issued the following email and login credentials during the orientation or onboarding process. If you do not know one or all of these, please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@depaul.edu or call (312) 362-8765. You will need these credentials to log in to various applications and DePaul systems like Desire2Learn(D2L), Campus Connect, Zoom, and Office 365:

If you know your BlueKey login credentials, DePaul username, and have registered for BlueKey multi-factor, you will have everything you need to access the vast majority of DePaul applications, platforms, and systems.

If you do not know one or either of these, please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@depaul.edu or call (312) 362-8765.

A note about BlueKey multi-factor authentication

This is an added authentication step using either the Microsoft Authenticator app (the app is recommended) or a phone call or text to verify your identity when accessing certain systems. All DePaul students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to set up multi-factor (if you have not already) as more and more systems will use this process in the future.

Other login pages

A small number of legitimate DePaul resources may ask for credentials using login pages different from those pictured above.

Be extra cautious when entering credentials into pages with URLs and visuals that are different from those shown.
