There are a few important questions to ask before removing your Cisco office phone:
- Are you replacing your Cisco desk phone with a Teams desk phone?
- Are you removing your Cisco desk phone entirely, switching to the Teams app on your computer or mobile device?
- Does your Cisco phone have one or two connected Ethernet cables? Where are they connected to?
Please note that your PC may temporarily lose Internet access during this process. Access should be restored after all steps are completed.
Replacing your Cisco desk phone with a new Teams/Audiocodes phone
There is one cable connected to your phone:
- Identify the cable connecting your Cisco phone to the wall
- Disconnect the cable from the Cisco phone, and reconnect it to the yellow LAN port on your new Teams phone
There are two cables connected to your phone:
- Identify the cable connecting your Cisco Phone to your PC or docking station.
- Disconnect the cable from the Cisco phone and reconnect it to the black PC Port on your new Teams phone. This will be next to the yellow port.

Yours may look slightly different - ensure the colors match the other end of the cable.
Removing your Cisco desk phone
without a replacement
There is one cable connected to your phone:
- Identify the cable connecting your Cisco phone to the wall.
- Disconnect the cable from the Cisco phone and the wall.
There are two cables connected to your phone:
- Identify the cable connecting your Cisco phone to your PC or docking station.
- Disconnect the cable from your PC or docking station. You no longer need it.
- Identify the cable connecting your Cisco phone to the wall.
- Disconnect the remaining cable from your Cisco phone and reconnect it to your PC or docking station.
