Microsoft Teams Phone: Make Teams My Default App for Calling (Android, iPhone, Mac, Windows)


How do I set my default calling app?

Android:

  1. Open the Settings apps.
  2. Tap Apps & Notifications.
  3. Default Apps
  4. Under Default Apps, you will find ‘Phone App’ which you can tap to change the default.

Apple:

At the moment, it is not possible to change the default calling app on iPhone.

Windows:

If you want to change the default calling app on Windows, first search for “Default apps”.

Then click on “Choose default apps by protocol” at the bottom.

Finally, scroll to “TEL”, click on it, and select your app of choice.

Mac:

If you want to change the default calling app on your Mac, open FaceTime. Under the top FaceTime menu, select Settings. In the Default for calls dropdown, select Teams.
