How do I register for a course in Genius?
From the Genius course catalog page, click the blue View Offerings button to the right under the course. At the bottom of the pop up, a list of available sections will appear. Click the blue Enroll button next to the section you want to enroll in. The button should turn gray and say Added to Cart. Click the X on the top right of the pop up, then click the cart icon at the top right of your screen and then Check Out. Log into Genius or create a new account and enter your payment information following the instructions on the screen.
How do I access my courses?
Go to
https://depaul.geniussis.com/ and enter the username and password you registered with to access your Genius Dashboard. From the Active Courses tab, click "Go to Course" to access your course materials in Brightspace/D2L. Please do not go directly to Brightspace/D2L to access your course as you may encounter log in errors.
What if I forget my username or password?
From the Genius log in page, click the Recover Your Password link and follow the instructions on the screen.
What if my account gets blocked?
Genius allows for 3 log in attempts before blocking your account for one hour. If your account is blocked, please wait one hour and try again. Or you can contact the
Help Desk for assistance.
Emails from Genius are going to my junk mail!
Please add a filter to your email client's settings to always deliver emails from
depaul@geniussis.com to your inbox.
How do I see my grades?
Log into Genius and from the Active Courses tab on your Dashboard, find your course and click the Go to Course button to be taken to Brightspace/D2L. Click Grades on the top navigation bar.

Log into Genius and click the title of the course in the Completed Courses tab of your dashboard. Click the "Download Certificate" link to download your certificate as a PDF.
What if I have technical problems with Genius or Brightspace/D2L, or have problems registering for a course?
