DePaul has replaced the Ivanti VPN with the Netskope ZTNA. Please follow the instructions on your respective device to install and use the ZTNA client. If you have any questions about setting up the ZTNA or have issues accessing DePaul systems, sites, or services (that you previously connected to through the Ivanti VPN), please reach out to the Help Desk. Make sure to disable and uninstall Ivanti when changing over to the Netskope ZTNA.
Remote access with Netskope ZTNA works differently from the Ivanti VPN in some situations. Most access to resources hosted in DePaul’s datacenters will continue to work as expected, but connecting to computers and other resources located elsewhere on campus may require a different approach.
If you use Remote Desktop to connect to a system hosted in a DePaul datacenter and have already been granted access to that system, you should be able to continue connecting through Netskope ZTNA.
If you need to use Remote Desktop to connect to a computer located elsewhere on campus, such as at your desk, please use DePaul’s Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) service.
SSH and SFTP access to resources hosted in DePaul’s datacenters should continue to work similarly to the Ivanti VPN, provided you have the appropriate access. If you use SSH or SFTP to connect to a computer or other resource located elsewhere on campus, additional configuration may be required. Please open an incident with the Help Desk so Information Services can review your access needs and determine the appropriate way to support the connection through Netskope ZTNA.
For other remote-access scenarios that are not covered above, please contact the Help Desk. Information Services can review your specific use case and help identify the appropriate remote-access method.
Although Netskope displays an option to "Enable Network Security", this service is not active for DePaul users. After downloading the ZTNA file and authenticating, there’s no need to configure for data centers or remote access.
